This painting is inspired by my trip to Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge in Citrus County, Florida.  "I was inspired by the gentle giants that glide through the warm springs of the crystal clear river."

Crystal river is special to Florida because of the crystal clear water and a refuge to manatees providing a warm natural spring that offers a haven for manatees during the colder months.
