I first saw a roseate spoonbill standing in the shallows at golden hour-- its feathers glowing pink against the pale blue sky, water rippling at its feet.

It didn't move much. Just stood there, still and certain, like it had all the time in the world. That moment stayed with me--the calm, the light, the strange elegance of a bird that didn't quite match its world but looked beautiful anyway.

I painted this scene to capture that quiet. That pause. That rare kind of wild beauty you only find near the sea.
