Two flamingos stand together in water that feels endless—soft wetlands stretching outward like a dream. The sky is gentle, the air warm, and everything around them moves slowly, as if the world has learned their rhythm.

This place belongs to them.

They are not ornaments of the landscape. They are its architects. The water bends around their long legs, reflecting their coral hues like brushstrokes pulled directly from memory. Side by side, they exist in quiet understanding—no urgency, no audience.

In this hidden world, the flamingos are ancient.

Their scale is subtle but powerful. They feel larger than the land itself, not because of size, but because of presence. Together, they hold balance—motion and stillness, softness and strength. A reminder that survival in the wild is often shared.

I painted these flamingos as a continuation of the quiet worlds that began with the egret. Each painting opens a new place where animals are centered, where wetlands are not overlooked, and where water is allowed to stretch and breathe.

The paint drifts and settles, creating edges that disappear—just like wetlands themselves. Fragile, alive, and easily lost if we stop paying attention.

This is not just a painting of flamingos.
It is a moment of belonging.
A world where they remain undisturbed.

And for a moment, we are allowed to witness it.
