The tide was low, and my footprints followed me like quiet reminders. I didn't plan to stay long, but then the sky caught fire. Colors poured across the water: warm golds, soft coral, and violet that made my chest ache. The waves didn't clap or crash. They hushed, like they knew something sacred was happening. And for a moment, I forgot everything except how small and whole I felt, standing there in the middle of so much light.
